INTRODUCTION
Blockchains or distributed ledgers are technology that is deemed as the disruptive technology and the technology that creates new paradigms within the industry. Although Blockchain was mainly used in cryptocurrencies the principles of distributed ledgers are now more and more used in the energy supply firms as they realized that blockchains provide transparent, tamper-proof and secure systems that can enable adequate speed, security and possibility of developing and implementing smart contracts.
The main areas where the Blockchain is either already in use or in the pilot project stage is the Energy Management and smart contracts for micro grids, as well as the implementation of energy provision for the electric vehicles without the requirement for the central authority.
Objectives
The objective of this Blockchain for Energy Management training course is to prepare the delegates for the emerging technologies that are already disrupting several industries and sectors and are entering other industries where they were either not expected to present themselves or not being implemented to their full potential.
By the end of this GLOMACS training course, the participants will be able to:
- Apply the existing Blockchain platforms
